The retry policy and per-attempt timeout, "prompt" or "patient": see each member.

• "prompt": The sync door, and the default: 1 retry, backoff capped at 2 s, a Retry-After up to 5 s, 10 s per attempt. For request handlers, where a caller is waiting.

• "patient": The batch door: 5 retries, backoff capped at 30 s, a Retry-After up to 60 s, 30 s per attempt. For the CLI, queue consumers and any run that must survive a 429.
